The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a Level 2 health advisory for travelers to the Dominican Republic, indicating a moderate level of COVID-19 in the country. Airports and other points of entry will be conducting rapid COVID-19 tests on randomly selected travelers and those who show symptoms of the virus upon arrival. Dominican authorities may also implement temperature checks upon arrival or departure. The US government requires that anyone traveling to the United States provide contact information (where they can be reached) once they land in the US, regardless of whether they are a lawful permanent resident or traveling on an immigrant visa.
Additionally, passengers must show proof that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and fill out a certification form before boarding. Due to the ever-changing government mandates and restrictions, this information is subject to change at any time without notice. Depending on the circumstances and travel itinerary, passengers may be responsible for additional travel document requirements by destination.
